“The incident occurred on December 19 in a wintering area 15 kilometers from the village of Yeltai. The wolf attacked the village. Fortunately, the man was not alone. He was able to wring the wolf’s neck, and other men ran to help,” said Dulatbai Sariev , akim of Yeltai rural district.
The wolf was sent for examination. The animal’s body was taken to a special place, samples were taken, and the animal’s body was burned.
The village akim noted that wolves rarely come close to populated areas. They are forced to approach people either by hunger or illness.
