"Indeed, Air Astana sees itself as the god of our sky. (…) The Air Astana issue must be considered in the brightest light. Mr. Foster, look around at the walls in which you are - you must obey the laws of this country. (…) Mr. Foster, this is your first time in parliament, you were asked only one or two questions, but from the moment you entered the territory of Kazakhstan, you must first and foremost protect the interests of the citizens of Kazakhstan. (…) We pay incredible fines when returning tickets. There is nothing funny about this. Don’t laugh. You are expressing contempt for us by sitting here. We are not African aboriginal people who do not understand anything. Don’t get carried away by laughing at us, expressing your contempt for us,” Majilis deputy Edil Zhanbyrshin told Foster, who was laughing within the walls of parliament, during government hour on Monday.
The deputies harshly criticized Air Astana and Foster for the pricing policy and, in general, for all their actions, which are regularly criticized by people in Kazakhstan.
