United States is preparing to lease land from Kazakhstan for 49 years term

Astana. September 19. KazTAG - The United States is preparing to lease land from Kazakhstan for 49 years.
"Approve the attached draft agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the United States of America on the provision of a land plot to the Government of the United States of America for lease for the construction of premises for the consular office of the United States of America in the city of Almaty," reads the decree of the Government of Kazakhstan.
The document has already been put into effect.
According to the draft agreement, the Government of Kazakhstan leases to the Government of the United States a land area of 70,593 square meters located between the following streets: Zhamakayev Street, Al-Farabi Avenue, Seifullin Avenue, Aldar Kose Street, for a period of 49 years from the date of the land lease agreement for the construction and operation of premises of the Consular Office of the United States of America in the city of Almaty. At the same time, the lease term may be extended for another 49 years.
“The amount of rent for the land parcel for the initial 49-year lease term and for all subsequent 49-year extension periods (without limiting the total duration) is $25,301,016 and will be paid in a single payment within 30 calendar days from the date of entry into force of this agreement,” reads the draft agreement.
