Central Banks of Kazakhstan and Georgia have agreed to expand their work by exchanging information

Astana. September 19. KazTAG – The Central Banks of Kazakhstan and Georgia have agreed to expand their work by exchanging information.
“On September 18, a meeting was held between  Timur Suleimenov ,Chairman of National Bank of Kazakhstan and Natela Turnava, Acting Chairman of the National Bank of Georgia,” said the press service of the Central Bank of Kazakhstan.
Suleimenov and Turnava discussed the current macroeconomic situation and monetary policy, prospects for cooperation in the field of financial technologies, payment systems, and exchanged views on current issues of the activities of central banks.
The parties signed a memorandum of understanding and bilateral cooperation. “The memorandum is aimed at strengthening and expanding interaction through the exchange of information and mutual consultations. The conclusion of the memorandum became a new step in strengthening Kazakh-Georgian cooperation in the financial sector,” said the National Bank.
