“States leaders and go, but peoples, especially neighboring peoples, must live in peace and understanding. Kazakhstan has the longest delimited land border with Russia, and cooperation is developing between our countries within the framework of strategic partnership and alliance. Kazakhstan has genuine sympathy for the Ukrainian people and their unique culture,” Tokayev told German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on Tuesday during a discussion of the Ukrainian crisis.
The President noted that there had never been any disagreements between Kazakhstan and Ukraine.
“Our country’s embassy continues to operate in Kyiv,” Tokayev added.
