Over 83 000 jobs to be created in Kazakhstan's fuel and energy complex by 2030 - Satkaliyev

Astana. January 8. KazTAG - By 2030, 99 projects with the creation of over 83,000 quality jobs are to be implemented in the fuel and energy complex sectors, said Almasadam Satkaliyev , Kazakh Energy Minister.
"By 2030, 99 projects with the creation of over 83,000 quality jobs are to be implemented in the FEC sectors, both at the construction stage, lasting over 1 year, and permanent ones," Satkaliyev said at a government meeting.
According to him, the oil and gas industry will create about 22 thousand jobs for technical professions in the oil and gas and related industries. More than 21 thousand workers will be involved in the petrochemical industry: more than 3 thousand permanent and 18 thousand temporary ones. More than 41 thousand jobs will be created in the electric power industry, including renewable energy projects: about 6 thousand permanent jobs and more than 35 thousand temporary. According to the NPP construction project, by 2030 about 5 thousand people will be provided with jobs, and at least 2 thousand people at the operational stage.
In addition to new projects, the total need for personnel at existing fuel and energy complex enterprises in the period 2025-2029 is an additional 16 thousand jobs.
Today, the fuel and energy complex, according to the minister, represents 1,671 enterprises, where more than 303 thousand workers of various professions work.
