“The Taldykorgan City Court announced the verdict against the director of the Zhetysu Football Club Donsebayev K. He was found guilty of embezzlement of budget funds in the amount of T31.9 million,” reads the report.
According to the "anti-corruption" agency, he stole the funds allocated for the club's football players' meals during training camps.
The court sentenced him to seven years of restricted freedom with a lifelong ban on holding positions in government agencies and the quasi-public sector. When sentencing, full compensation for damages and the fact that the convicted person has a serious illness were taken into account.
