Zelensky announced Ukraine's readiness for a 30-day ceasefire with Russia

Astana. March 12. KazTAG — Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced Ukraine's readiness for a 30-day ceasefire with Russia on his Telegram channel.
"Today, during the discussion, specifically from the American side, a proposal was made to immediately take the first step in this direction and try to establish a complete ceasefire for 30 days, not only with respect to missiles, drones and bombs, not only in the Black Sea, but also along the entire front line. Ukraine accepts this proposal, we consider it positive, we are ready to take this step. The United States of America needs to convince Russia to do this. That is, we agree, and if the Russians agree, the silence will come into effect at that very moment," Zelensky said.
He marked that the Ukrainian proposal consisted of three points: silence in the skies - no missiles, bombs or long-range drones, and silence at sea, and real confidence-building measures in the entire situation in which diplomacy continues, which means, first of all, the release of prisoners.
"The American side understands our arguments and accepts our proposals, I would like to thank President Trump for the constructive nature of the dialogue between our teams," the Ukrainian president added.
Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that important element of the new discussions is America's readiness to resume defense assistance to Ukraine and intelligence support.
"Ukraine is ready for peace. Russia must also show whether it is ready to end the war - or continue it. The time has come to tell the whole truth. I thank everyone who helps Ukraine," the president concluded.
