More than 6 thousand girls received HPV vaccine in Mangistau

Aktau. March 12. KazTAG — More than 6 thousand girls have received the HPV vaccine in the Mangistau region, Lada.kz reports.
“From September 30, 2024 to the present, 6,812 girls have been vaccinated against the human papillomavirus in the Mangistau region,” said Gulshat Shorbasova, head of the department of epidemiological control of infectious and parasitic diseases of the regional department of sanitary and epidemiological control.
The highest coverage was recorded in Zhanaozen.
“As of March 11, 2,633 girls aged 11, 2,149 12-year-old schoolgirls and 2,030 girls aged 13 received the quadrivalent Gardasil vaccine.  In Zhanaozen, 1,428 teenagers were vaccinated, in Munaylinsky district – 1,984 residents, in Aktau – 1,304 girls, in Mangistau district – 792 schoolgirls, in Beineu district – 604 residents, in Tupkaragan district – 361 girls, in Karakiyansky district – 337 teenagers,” reads the report.
