“The Almaty Department of Culture did not receive any requests to install a monument to V. Zhirinovsky and the commission for the protection of historical and cultural monuments of Almaty did not consider the corresponding proposal,” the Almaty Department of Culture told KazTAG.
Plans to install a monument to Zhirinovsky in Almaty had been announced by a Russian state media outlet.
