Tokayev received heads of security agencies and special services of the CIS states

Astana. October 4. KazTAG – President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received heads of security agencies and special services of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), reports Akorda.
“Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with participants of the 55th meeting of the Council of Heads of Security Agencies and Special Services of the CIS states. The President noted that this platform has proven itself as a tool for coordinating efforts in the field of security, and in modern conditions the role of the Council is even greater,” the statement said on Friday.
The head of state emphasized that the timely exchange of operational and analytical information allows us to increase the effectiveness of countering challenges and threats to regional security, and contributes to the development of coordinated approaches to protecting the national interests of our countries.
"Kasym-Jomart Tokayev expressed confidence that the results of the meeting will create conditions for the further development of interaction between the special services of the Commonwealth states, contributing to the strengthening of cooperation in the field of ensuring international security," Akorda added.
The meeting was attended by the heads of delegations from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, as well as the Executive Committee and the CIS Anti-Terrorism Center.
