Court chairman detained in Petropavlovsk over $15,000 bribe

Petropavlovsk. December 20. KazTAG – The court chairman has been detained in Petropavlovsk over a $15,000 bribe, reports the press service of the Supreme Court of Kazakhstan.
"On December 19, 2024, as a result of a joint operation by the National Security Committee and the Internal Security Department of the Judicial Administration of Kazakhstan in the city of Petropavlovsk, the chairman of the specialized inter-district economic court of the North Kazakhstan region was caught red-handed while receiving a large bribe in the amount of $15,000," said the message.
The bribe was intended "for a positive court decision in favor of the interested party."
