Three foreigners detained at Baikonur checked for involvement in espionage

Baikonir. July 12. KazTAG - Three foreign foreigners have been detained at Baikonur are being checked for involvement in espionage, reports Shot.
“The police are finding out how, where and for what purpose the Europeans entered the spaceport. Their possible involvement in espionage is being checked,” the statement said.
It is reported that three Europeans who illegally entered the territory of the cosmodrome were detained at Baikonur.
“The foreigners managed to get to the Baikonur installation and refueling complex last Tuesday. They were noticed by police officers who were patrolling the territory of the cosmodrome,” the message reports.
Among those detained are citizens of the Netherlands and Belgium.
“The detainees had no connection to the cosmodrome; they did not have documents giving them the right to be at Baikonur,” the statement said.
It is also noted that a month ago, a French tourist died while trying to walk in 30-degree heat to one of the Baikonur sites.
