“Russian Security Council Secretary Sergey Shoigu has arrived in Astana, where he will discuss bilateral relations between the Russian Federation and Kazakhstan, security issues, and the situation in Syria. This is the first foreign trip of the Russian Security Council Secretary in 2025,” reads the report.
According the press service of the Russian Security Council, during the working visit “bilateral consultations between the offices of the Security Councils of the Russian Federation and Kazakhstan will take place, as well as a meeting with Kazakh Security Council Secretary Gizat Nurdauletov.”
Shoigu is expected to be received by Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
