Astana. September 20. KazTAG - Reshuffles in Kazakhstan's law enforcement agencies are expected after a number of failures, a source reports.
"Yesterday, an operational meeting was held at the central office of the National Security Committee (NSC) chaired by the head of the presidential administration Aibek Dadebay. A number of failures in the work of the law enforcement unit were reviewed," an informed source told KazTAG.
According to him, the fact of the detention of a heavy-duty vehicle - a truck with drugs in Bulgaria - was outlined at the meeting.
"The Prosecutor General's Office has been instructed to create an interdepartmental investigative and operational group and bring all the perpetrators to justice, the state and legal department of the AP has been instructed to prepare a report to the head of state on the situation with drug crime (control - January 2025). The Minister of Internal Affairs has been reprimanded. Vice Minister Rysbayev (Aidos - KazTAG) - incomplete suitability for the position held. Head of the Department for Combating Drug Crime (DCC) Imazhan (Khadzhi-Gali - KazTAG) and his two deputies may be dismissed from their positions,” the agency’s source said.
According to him, the prosecutor of the Zhambyl region was declared incompletely suited for the position held.
