Mikhail Lomtadze: If it weren't for us, the market would be dominated by foreign trading platforms and sellers, not local businesses

Almaty. October 22. KazTAG –  Kursiv Ecosystems Forum is taking place in Almaty. The first discussion was devoted to ecosystems. Mikhail Lomtadze spoke about how Kaspi.kz influenced the development of small and medium businesses in Kazakhstan.
“Imagine if everything we do, the opportunities and technologies we develop, had not been done,” Mikhail Lomtadze answered the host’s question. “These are huge investments. The development, design and support of services cost us about $200 million a year. We develop and provide such services to partners. Imagine that our marketplace did not exist. Then only foreign platforms and foreign sellers would be able to develop here, and our SMEs would not be able to compete with them.
Of course, there is always room for improvement. We are constantly improving the customer experience, developing delivery, we have room to grow. Thanks to this, our partners can trade throughout the country, use all our offers - from the cash register to paying taxes, loans, we recently made a deposit for business. We are constantly investing in technology. So the answer is: if it were not for us, the market would be foreign trading platforms and sellers, not local businesses," he added
