“In the Baikonur district, on Bektau Street, a truck loaded with gas cylinders caught fire and began to explode as a result of heating,” reports the Department of Emergency Situations of Astana.
The network reports how eyewitnesses captured a strong explosion. The Ministry of Emergency Situations added that the fire was immediately extinguished by supplying water nozzles and cooling the cylinders.
Three cars parked nearby were damaged. Eight cars, nearby residential buildings and 11 gas cylinders out of 17 were saved from the fire. There were no casualties.
