“This year, two electronic auctions were held, at which 15 sites were sold. The final amount of the signature bonus was T32.7 billion, of which T9.1 billion has been received by the budget to date. Investments in geological exploration amounted to $82.5 million,” Akkenzhenov said in a speech during a discussion of the development of the geological industry of Kazakhstan at a government meeting.
According to him, 56 exploration projects approved by the subsoil users have been submitted.
Thus, each subsoil user saved about two months on undergoing state examination of project documents, which allowed them to begin field work earlier.
In the first nine months of 2024, subsoil users invested T4.3 trillion, of which T125.9 billion was invested in geological exploration.
Three contracts were signed for complex projects: with the national company KazMunayGas - for exploration of the Karazhar site and Qazaqgaz - for the Maldybai and Shalkar sites this.
