"In accordance with the schedule of repairs at power plants approved by the system operator for 2024, major repairs are planned and are underway at 10 power units, 55 boilers and 45 turbines. Repairs have already been completed at eight power units, 52 boilers, 38 turbines. In the final stages, repair work is underway at two power units, three boilers and seven turbines. As part of the reconstruction work this year, it is expected to reduce the average wear and tear at the CHPP from 65% to 61%. In particular, at the Ridder TPP, wear and tear will decrease from 58% to 54%, at the Kentau TPP from 85% to 65%, and at the Ekibastuz TPP from 42% to 35%,” the Ministry of Energy responded to KazTAG’s request.
The department specified that T327 billion was allocated for repair work, which is 44% more than the 2023 level.
