Death of swans in Aktau: Excess of pollutants discovered in water

Aktau. January 11. KazTAG – An excess of the maximum permissible concentrations of pollutants was discovered In Lake Karakol, where more than 800 swans have died.
“Specialists from the Department of Ecology took water analysis, the results of which showed that the maximum permissible concentrations of pollutants were exceeded. In addition, ornithological specialists from Almaty were brought in to fully study the involvement of discharges in the previously identified facts of death of swans,” reports the Committee for Environmental Regulation and Control.
An unscheduled inspection has been scheduled for Rixos Water World Aktau.
In 2022, the hotel was already fined T76 million for a similar violation.
