Court rules on case of 11 journalists in Kyrgyzstan

Astana. October 10. KazTAG - A court in Kyrgyzstan has ruled on the case of 11 journalists, reports Kaktus Media.
"The court sentenced: Makhabat Tazhibek kyzy - to six years in prison; Azamat Ishenbekov - to five years in prison; Aika Beishekeev - to three years of probation; Aktilek Kaparov - to three years of probation," reads the report.
Today, October 10, the Leninsky District Court of Bishkek issued a decision on 11 journalists who collaborated with Temirov Live and the Ait Ait Dese project.
It is reported that the court ruled to transfer the son of Makhabat Tazhibek kyzy and Bolot Temirov to social welfare authorities for subsequent transfer to an orphanage. According to the data, the court acquitted the remaining journalists due to lack of corpus delicti.
The Investigative Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic had announced the initiation of a criminal case under Article 278 "Mass riots" Part 3 "Calls for active disobedience to the lawful demands of government officials and for mass riots, as well as calls for violence against citizens" of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan.
