Branch Al-Farabi Kazakh National University opened in Omsk

Astana. November 28. KazTAG – The presidents of Kazakhstan and Russia officially opened a branch of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Omsk, reports the press service of Akorda.
“Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Vladimir Putin took part in the opening ceremony of the branch of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University on the basis of F.M. Dostoevsky Omsk State University via videoconference,” reads the statement.
During the ceremony, the Minister of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek and the Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Science of Russia Konstantin Mogilevsky made reports on cooperation in the field of science and higher education of the two countries.
Admission of applicants to the branch of the first Kazakh university in Russia is scheduled for September 2025. The governments of Kazakhstan and Russia allocated 200 grants for the education of students.
