Almost 100% of children with acute respiratory viral infections in Astana hospitals were not vaccinated

Astana. September 20. KazTAG - More than 100 children are getting treatment for acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI) in the children's infectious diseases hospital in Astana, and 97% of them have not been vaccinated, said the Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan.
“It is worth noting that more than 97% of children admitted to the hospital are not vaccinated. Most often, they are admitted with complications, that is, with shortness of breath or convulsions. All of the above indicators are evidence that immunization of the population against infectious diseases plays an important role in disease prevention,” said Gulnaz Dosmyrzaeva, Deputy Head of the City Public Health Department.
To date, about 300 children are being treated at the capital's children's infectious diseases hospital, more than 100 have been diagnosed with acute respiratory viral infections. Most of the patients, especially those with complications, were not vaccinated.
