"Following the visit, a four-year plan for preparing Kazakhstan to host international tournaments under auspices of UEFA has been approved," reads the report.
President of the Kazakhstan Football Federation Marat Omarov paid an official visit to the UEFA headquarters in Nyon (Switzerland), where he held a working meeting with Alexander Ceferin , UEFA President.
It is reported that during the conversation, Omarov suggested that the UEFA President pay an official visit to Kazakhstan. Alexander Ceferin accepted the invitation and plans to make his first ever trip to Central Asia as UEFA President in 2025.
According to the data, one of the key issues of the meeting was the possibility of holding a major European tournament in Kazakhstan. It is indicated that potential options discussed included Kazakhstan's right to host the European Youth Championship, as well as to host the UEFA Conference League final in Almaty or Astana.
"Following the meeting, full support from UEFA programs was reported, which touch upon infrastructure issues, youth football, issues of raising the level of domestic tournaments, attracting investment and introducing modern trend technologies in the management and training of football players," the report said.
