“Under the auspices of the Prosecutor General’s Office, since 2023, two projects have been implemented in all regions of the country – “URPAQ” and “Happy and Safe Childhood”, aimed at protecting children’s rights, identifying cases of violence and providing timely assistance. As part of the “Happy and Safe Childhood” project, prosecutors visited more than 63,000 families to identify cases of threats or violence against children. As a result of the work, 93 pre-trial investigations were launched against guardians and trustees, parents and other persons,” reads the report.
11,000 people were brought to administrative responsibility for negligence 342 children were transferred to state custody due to lack of proper care, 54 lawsuits were filed to limit parental rights and 92 lawsuits to completely deprive them of their rights, alimony in the amount of T4.5 billion was collected in favor of children. More than 2 thousand families received financial assistance (essential items, food, school supplies, coal, etc.), 10 thousand - medical and social support, over 1 thousand were provided with housing.
