“During operational and investigative activities, police officers discovered four weapons caches in several regions, three of which contained weapons and ammunition stolen during the January events,” reads the report.
This time, a cache was found in an abandoned building near the city of Zharkent, where a Remington 11-87 shotgun stolen during the January events was seized. A cache was also found in the Zhambyl region on the outskirts of the village of Birlesu, where a Benelli shotgun stolen during the January events was seized, as well as a double-barreled hunting rifle, a hand grenade and four cartridges.
"In addition, a place with a hidden double-barreled smoothbore shotgun, a gas pistol and three cartridges was found near the city of Zhanatas. In the Almaty region, in one of the villages, two hunting rifles of different calibers (one of which was stolen during the January events), a flashbang grenade, an AK-74 magazine, seven cartridges and a black tactical mask were found in a ditch," the report says.
