Dentists' incomes increased by 1.5 times and reached T209.9 billion in Kazakhstan

Astana. March 6. KazTAG -  The volume of dental services rendered amounted to T209.9 billion in 2024, which is 1.5 times more than the year before. This figure became a record for the past five years, reports the First Credit Bureau.
" Dental services were rendered worth T209.9 billion in 2024. Compared to the previous year, the figure nominally increased by 1.5 times and broke the record for at least five years,"  reads the report.
According to the bureau, a sharp increase in the income of dental clinics has been observed over the past four years, with the exception of 2023. In 2021 and 2022, the volume of services almost doubled compared to previous periods.
" A surge in the volume of dental services was recorded amid calls to introduce restrictions on pension withdrawals, as well as to suspend budget payments to working pensioners. None of these initiatives were ultimately implemented, but judging by the final volumes of withdrawals, they seriously scared the people of Kazakhstan," the bureau said.
On average, 80% of dental services in Kazakhstan are financed by the population. An additional factor in the growth of industry revenues was the rise in the cost of services - from 2021 to 2024, their cost increased by an average of 11.5% per year, with a maximum growth of 18.3% in 2022.
