Kazakhstan assured ICAO of its readiness to build plant for production of environmentally friendly aviation fuel

Astana. March 6. KazTAG - Kazakhstan assured the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) of its readiness to build a plant for the production of environmentally friendly aviation fuel.
"A meeting was held in the capital of Kazakhstan between the Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan Almasadam Satkaliyev and Nicolas Rallo, Director of the European and North Atlantic Bureau of ICAO. The parties discussed the issues of "green" transformation in Kazakhstan, paying special attention to the development of sustainable aviation fuel production. The Kazakh side emphasized its commitment to the development of renewable energy sources and the implementation of environmentally sustainable projects, which creates favorable conditions for investors," said the press service of the Ministry of Energy.
The national company KazMunayGas is considering the possibility of launching SAF production.
"Kazakhstan demonstrates its readiness to build a plant for the production of sustainable aviation fuel and is actively working to create conditions for the development of clean energy. We are convinced that the energy transition is impossible without the active participation of all stakeholders. Kazakhstan is ready for cooperation at all levels," Satkaliyev said.
