Astana. February 4. KazTAG – Tolling system will be introduced on another 4000 km of roads in 2025 in Kazakhstan, said the press service of the Ministry of Transport.
“The amount of revenue reached T48 billion in 2024. This year, it is planned to introduce an additional 4,000 km of toll sections, which will increase revenue to T60 billion,” said the report.
In 2026, this figure, according to Transport Minister Marat Karabayev, could grow to T100 billion.
“At the same time, the issue of using part of the funds received from toll roads to pay off interest rates on loans taken for construction work is being considered,” Karabayev said at a government meeting.
"At present, a toll road system with a length of 3.2 thousand km operates throughout the country," the statement said.
