KMG, through its subsidiary KazMunaiGas-Aero, has initiated a number of investment projects for the construction and modernization of fuel infrastructure at Kazakhstan airports for storing traditional and sustainable aviation fuel SAF. The projects also provide for the purchase of new airfield fuel tankers. The total investment volume is estimated at T15 billion," KMG said in a statement, citing a meeting between the Chairman of the Board of JSC NC KazMunayGas Askhat Khasenov and the Director of the European and North Atlantic Bureau of ICAO Nicolas Rallo.
KMG's oil refineries are technically ready to produce Jet A-1 aviation fuel, and its implementation requires the preparation of the infrastructure of domestic airports.
