“Interpol is engaged in international searches. We give Interpol the relevant instructions, and they do it. In order to extradite a person, we need Interpol to establish for sure that this person is in this place, and to carry out some measures to detain him in the country where he is. After that, we can only initiate an extradition arrest. So far, Interpol has no precise data that this person is in a certain country, or that they are taking measures to detain him, there is no such information yet. We don’t know yet (where they are – KazTAG). While we are waiting for the official position, Interpol must find them,” Chindaliev said on the sidelines of the Senate.
He added that the prosecutor's office is not engaged in operational and investigative activities.
