Shchuchinsk and Borovoye development plan approved for T137 billion

Astana. March 7. KazTAG – The Shchuchinsk-Borovoe resort area development plan for 2029 worth T137 billion has been approved, reports the Prime Minister’s press service.
“Kazakhstan Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov signed a resolution approving the Comprehensive Development Plan for the Shchuchinsk-Borovoe resort area for 2025–2029,” reads the report.
The document is reported to contain 118 events worth T137.2 billion and is aimed at developing tourism infrastructure, transport logistics, digital solutions, security systems, and attracting investment.
"According to the plan, the resort's modernization will cover the main areas, including the creation of year-round tourist facilities, the development of ecological and sports tourism, and the construction of new recreational areas. It is planned to organize children's centers, sports and recreation complexes, and a year-round water park near Lake Katarkol. Camping sites, glamping sites, and new tourist routes will appear in the area of Lake Zhukey, and rental stations, boat stations, coastal infrastructure, and beaches will appear on Maly Chebachye," the statement said.
