Tokayev met with Tajikistan’s PM

Astana. August 23. KazTAG – Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met Tajik Prime Minister Kohir Rasulzoda, reports Akorda.
“Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with Tajik Prime Minister Kohir Rasulzoda,” reads the report.
During the talks, the Kazakh President expressed confidence that the agreements reached the day before would bring the multifaceted cooperation between the two countries to a new level.
“Yesterday, very thorough and meaningful negotiations took place, important results were achieved. I would like to express my gratitude to you for your assistance in holding the business forum at a very high level. Contracts worth more than $1 billion were signed. This is good news. In general, yesterday we agreed that we would work to achieve $2 billion in mutual trade. I think that the governments of the two countries should work to find various sources that could lead to an increase in trade between our countries,” Tokayev said.
