Fraudulent calls to the United States and other countries were made from four call centers in Almaty


Almaty. September 12. KazTAG – Four call centers engaged in Internet fraud, calling abroad and drawing people into fictitious investment deals, have been liquidated in Almaty, said  the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan.
"Employees of the Department for Combating Cybercrime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Almaty have liquidated four call centers," said the statement.
The police detained 47 foreign citizens and five Kazakh citizens who called Iran, China, the United States, India and Malaysia. During the searches, more than 1,500 phones, 57 computers and over 1,000 SIM cards were seized.
The investigation is ongoing and the suspects are being checked for involvement in fraud with Kazakh citizens.
