Astana. January 14. KazTAG - At the Abu Dhabi Sustainable Development Week summit, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with the head of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Bola Ahmed Tinubu, discussing the strengthening of bilateral relations, the press service of Akorda reports.
"On the sidelines of the international summit "Abu Dhabi Sustainable Development Week", a meeting was held between the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Bola Ahmed Tinubu," the report says.
The head of Kazakhstan emphasized the strategic importance of developing relations with Nigeria, highlighting the potential of this country as an economic leader in the African region. In turn, Bola Ahmed Tinubu expressed his readiness to make efforts to bring bilateral relations to a new level.
During the meeting, the prospects for cooperation in the areas of trade, energy, transport, logistics and agriculture were discussed. The parties also noted the need to intensify interaction within international organizations.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev invited the President of Nigeria to pay an official visit to Kazakhstan.
