"On January 15, 2025, at about 07:30, on the 28th kilometer of the Almaty - Ust-Kamenogorsk highway (Almaty - Konayev direction), an accident involving 18 vehicles occurred," reads the report.
The cause of the accident in thick fog was the failure of drivers to observe the speed limit and keep a safe distance.
"The section of the road where the accident occurred belongs to the IA technical category and has six traffic lanes. The roadway was dry, without defects or foreign objects," the company said.
Nobody suffered in the accident.
