Tokayev considers Kazakhstan's participation in process of combating global challenges an honor

Astana. October 18. KazTAG - President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev considers Kazakhstan's participation in the process of combating global challenges an honor, reports Akorda.
"The head of state spoke at the plenary session of the Astana Think Tank Forum," reads the statement.
At the beginning of his speech, Tokayev noted that this dialogue platform, created under the auspices of the Astana International Forum, serves to exchange ideas on the most pressing global and regional issues.
"As you know, today humanity is facing unprecedented challenges - regional conflicts, economic instability, climate change, food and migration crises. These global problems affect us all and require the search for collective joint responses. Our common future depends entirely on how well we can consolidate our efforts and reach a consensus. Therefore, we consider it a great honor for Kazakhstan to participate in this important process,” Tokayev said.
He believes that as the world becomes increasingly polarized and the authority of multilateral international institutions weakens, the role of middle powers is growing.
“While major powers cannot reach a compromise, it is the middle powers that often become mediators in resolving disputes, thus supporting the fundamental foundations of global cooperation,” the president said.
