“In the Medeu district of Almaty, due to rain and waterlogging of the soil in the areas of a three-story building under construction, a 50-cubic-meter mud slide came down and stopped inside the pit. Also, on the south side of the house there was a collapse of soil mass with a volume of 15-20 cubic meters,” said the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
There were no casualties, injuries or destruction.
“The emergency services are conducting a detailed inspection of the area, there is no threat,” the Ministry of Emergency Situations added.
