Alleged members of criminal group detained by police and National Security Committee in the Karaganda region

Karaganda. July 26. KazTAG – Alleged members of a criminal group have been detained by police and employees of the National Security Committee (NSC) in the Karaganda region, reports the official website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
“The Ministry of Internal Affairs, together with the NSC, coordinated by the prosecutor's office of the Karaganda region, detained a criminal group involved in the theft of metal and goods from industrial companies, including Kazakhmys. In addition to local criminals, employees of enterprises, including managers and security service employees, are suspected of criminal activity,” the report said.
"More than 20 defendants were brought to the Karaganda Region Police Department. During the search, firearms and traumatic weapons, vehicles, cash and other material evidence in the criminal case were seized from them," said Kuandyk Alpys,  representative of the Organized Crime Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
