Initially, the information about a police officer being involved in a fatal accident in Aktobe region appeared on social networks.
“According to preliminary information, a 34-year-old police officer, while being drunk, got behind the wheel of a Kia, lost control and hit a married couple aged 25 and 26. Allegedly, the law enforcement officer initially tried to flee the scene of the accident, but later surrendered,” reads the report.
The regional police department confirmed the fact and reported that a pre-trial investigation is underway, and the driver has been arrested.
