“For example, the tourism industry committee received complaints about the Kausar travel company. At the same time, the company does not have a license for tour operator activities. It is registered as a travel agency, therefore, had no right to engage in tour operator activities. Therefore, we sent letters to the Ministry of the Interior and the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance to protect the interests of tourists and take the necessary measures. We also urge tourists to ask tour operators for documents confirming the availability of a license, ”said Dastan Ryspekov, chairman of the tourism industry committee.
Previously, tourists faced problems while travelling in the cities of Mecca and Medina.
“According to the rules, an agreement is drawn up annually between the religious association and the host country for the implementation of tour operator activities. Also, tour operators in the field of religious tourism must have an agreement concluded with a second-tier bank in favor of the administrator of the system for guaranteeing the rights of citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan,” said the committee .
