Ozenmunaygaz CEO reprimanded after he threatened striking oil worker

Aktau. November 20. KazTAG – Ozenmunaygaz CEO Zhanbolat Saimaganbetov was reprimanded after he threatened a striking oil worker.
“A conversation has already been held with OMG CEO to prevent similar incidents in the future. We regret the incident related to the inappropriate statement. He allowed his emotions prevail,” reads the publication.
A video had appeared online in which a man resembling Ozenmunaygaz CEO Zhanbolat Saimaganbetov threatens a worker in front of striking oil workers in Zhanaozen.
KazMunayGas stated that before the incident, employees of the Drilling Operations Department broke into the offices of engineering and technological workers and demanded that they join the strike. And in their opinion, an incomplete video of Saimaganbetov's conversation with the workers went viral social networks.
On November 12, workers of the Drilling Operations Department, which provides services to OzenMunayGas JSC, went on strike. According to the local publication Lada, they have been voicing their demands to the management for six months now, but no one is in a hurry to fulfill them.
