$1 billion proposed to be allocated for construction of new metro lines in Almaty

Almaty. November 20. KazTAG – $1 billion proposed to be allocated for construction of new metro lines in Almaty.
“An amendment has now been made to the budget code to allocate a billion dollars under a government guarantee. It is justified because Almaty is the main donor to the budget. The sum is substantial. This money will be received through EximBank. According to the plan, the debt amount will be repaid from T8 to T13 billion and it will be repaid in eight years,” said Majilis deputy Sergey Ponomarev.
The KazTAG editorial team received answers from the Almaty City Mobility Department regarding the future of the metro.
