“According to preliminary data, a natural gas explosion occurred, which is not typical for Kazakhmys mines. The circumstances and causes of the incident are being established,” said Kazakhmys Corporation reported this morning.
The company reports that a special state commission has been created to investigate the tragedy.
The families of the deceased are promised all necessary assistance stipulated by the collective agreement: 10 times the average annual salary of the worker, funds for organizing funerals, education of the children of the deceased, repayment of loans and credits of the deceased workers.
