Two Airbus A320 NEOs were added to Kazakhstan's fleet - Ministry of Transport

Almaty. February 20. KazTAG -Within a month and a half of 2025, Kazakhstan's fleet was replenished with two new modern Airbus A320 NEO airliners, and another 14 aircraft are expected to arrive by the end of the year, said Talgat Lastayev , Vice Minister of Transport.
"In the first month and a half of the current year (since the beginning of 2025 - KazTAG), the country's fleet has already been replenished with two new modern Airbus A320 NEO airliners, and by the end of the year, another 14 aircraft are expected to arrive, which will increase the carrying capacity by 15%," Lastayev said at a government meeting.
According to him, domestic air transportation in Kazakhstan is carried out by six airlines: Air Astana, FlyArystan, SCAT, Qazaq Air, Yuzhnoe Nebo, Zhetysu on 56 routes. According to the data, the number of routes increased by 10% last year.
"The frequency of flights in Kazakhstan is 75%, in the EU - 74%, in the USA - 77%, which corresponds to world indicators," Lastayev added.
