More than 85 thousand veterans live in Kazakhstan - they will be allocated T17 billion in 2025

Astana. January 24. KazTAG - T17 billion has been allocated from the state budget in 2025 to support 85,203 veterans,  reports the press service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection.
“As of January 1, 85,203 veterans live in Kazakhstan, including 120 veterans of the Great Patriotic War, 16,983 veterans equal in benefits to veterans of the Great Patriotic War, 26,506 veterans of military operations in the territory of other states, 41,594 home front workers during the Great Patriotic War. In 2024, these categories of veterans were paid a special state benefit in the amount of T16.7 billion. In 2025, T17 billion have been allocated for these purposes,” reads the report.
The amount of monthly benefits for various categories of veterans in 2025:

WWII veterans - T62.9 thousand (16 MCI);

Persons equated to veterans with disabilities - T27.8 thousand (7.55 MCI);

Persons equated in benefits to WWII participants - T24.3 thousand (6.19 MCI);

Participants in hostilities in Afghanistan - T24.3 thousand (6.19 MCI);

Peacekeepers in Iraq and other conflicts - T18.8 thousand (4.8 MCI);
