Ministry of Energy commented on new accident at the Ridder thermal power station: 80 sq.m structures were destroyed by blast

Ust-Kamenogorsk. March 24. KazTAG - In the course of a new accident at the thermal power plant of Ridder, structures of 80 square meters were destroyed by a blast wave, reports the press service of the Ministry of Energy.
“On March 23 at 7.50 am there was a blast at Ridder TPP in the fuel supply gallery in the area of boiler No. 6. The blast destroyed the enclosing structures with an area of about 80 square meters. m. The supply of coal to the boilers was restored at 13.00. The leadership of the Committee for Nuclear and Energy Supervision and Control immediately left for the place. According to the order, the commission is investigating a technological violation,” reads the report.
