Military-political situation in Afghanistan discussed at CSTO Secretariat in Moscow

Astana. December 12. KazTAG – A meeting of the working group on the military-political situation in Afghanistan was held at the CSTO Secretariat in Moscow, chaired by Ambassador-at-Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Talgat Kaliyev, reports the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“A regular meeting of the working group on Afghanistan under the CSTO Foreign Ministers Council was held at the Secretariat of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), Talgat Kaliyev, chaired by Ambassador-at-Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan,” reads the report.
The meeting participants exchanged their views on the military-political situation in Afghanistan, noting the continuing threats from terrorist groups.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the UN, SCO, CIS and other international organizations.
In conclusion, Talgat Kaliyev summed up the results of the meeting and wished the Kyrgyz Republic success, which will assume the CSTO chairmanship in 2025.
