Drug lab liquidated in Kyzylorda region: Organizer sentenced to 12 years

Kyzylorda. December 12. KazTAG – A phytolaboratory for growing narcotic plants, organized in a barn, was liquidated in the Kyzylorda region. The 52-year-old organizer was sentenced to 12 years, reports the official website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
“As part of a series of operational measures, Kyzylorda region police officers identified and stopped the illegal activities of a phytolaboratory organized by a local resident. A 52-year-old resident was detained on the spot, who built a drug lab inside the barn. The walls of the room are covered with plastic film,” reads the report.
During the inspection, special LED lighting devices for growing plants, watering tools, and 214 drug plant bushes with a total weight of 3 kg 980 g were seized.
In addition, the police found and seized eight newspaper packages, six plastic bags, and a plastic bottle with narcotic substances, the weight of which was 5 kg 426 g of "dried marijuana" and 4.65 g of "hashish".
