"Iran received a good harvest both last year and this year. Somewhere around 14-15 million tons. In order to protect the domestic market, they introduced temporary restrictions. This year, our wheat exports to Iran are zero," Kushukova said on Thursday.
According to her, they have a ban on wheat imports.
"The Iranian side has notified us that after the agreement is signed, this ban will be lifted," Kushukova added.
This agreement provides for the possibility of duty-free delivery of wheat. Within the tariff quota for Kazakhstan, it is equal, according to the vice minister, to 700 thousand tons.
"This is more than we have delivered to Iran over the past three years," she added.
